The death occurred suddenly at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2016 of Agnes Shepherd at the age of 97.
Beloved wife of the late Elmer Shepherd. Sister of Marwood (Marjorie) deceased, George (deceased) and survived by sister in law Betty. Dear mother of June (Melvyn) Harris and Max Shepherd. Grandmother of Carolee, Wray (Christine), Glen (Gorete); Barry (Jill), Brandi and Justin. Great grandmother of Chloe, Reahanna, Holton, Gwenyth, Grace, Allisyn, Connor, Breydan and Nathan.
A visitation with reception will be held for Mrs. Agnes Shepherd at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 High Street, Huntsville on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 12 noon until 2 p.m.
A private interment will be held at the Parkhill Cemetery, Parkhill, ON

It is difficult to find words to express how I felt about this special lady. I have such wonderful memories of Aunt Agnes. Memories that span a life time, from the time I was a small child we shared special holidays and social outings as a family including fun times swimming at the gravel pit and chatting on the phone about our favourite soap opera on a daily basis when I was a teenager. Even as an adult we kept in touch and I looked forward to our visits (although they didn’t occur as often as I would have liked). She always supported me in anything that I did. She was always on my side. I think the one thing I most admired about her was her ability to love so deeply. She loved each and every one of her family members with her entire heart and soul.
My heart goes out to June, Mel, Max and their families. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Rest in peace Aunt Agnes, til we meet again.

We are saddened with the sudden loss of Grandma! She will be dearly missed by all of US! I have such fond memories of her as a child, going to visit the Farm, then the house in Lieury. then Parkhill, then Baysville and finally Huntsville. She sure loved when we went for Ice cream…a favourite activity with her Great Grandchildren! We will miss her dearly, but she is now with Gramps and Uncle George
