On January 13, 2014, Bill Best Sr. passed away at Muskoka Landing Care Centre after a ten year struggle with Dementia. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, wonderful sense of humor and love of family. Bill enjoyed and excelled in many recreational sports including, horseshoes, golf, bowling, hunting and fishing. Bill retired from the Ministry of Transportation in 1994. Born October 30, 1929 to the late Joseph Best and Lucy (Willis) Best both born in Ireland. Bill is predeceased by his wife June Marguerite (Eady) Best and his daughter Brenda June. Dear father of William (Whendy), Stephen (Lorraine) and Donna (Terry Sararas). Loved by his grandchildren Will (Caitlin), Matthew (Kyla) Sarah (Jeremy), Sean, Crystal, April, Nick (Emily), Kim (Jamie) and Evie (Kelsey) and his great grandchildren Madeline, Weston, Cooper, Luke, Zachary, Mayah, Brooke and Leah. Also predeceased by his sisters Phoebe Cameron (late William), Margaret Whitely (late Roy) and brother Earl. He will be in the hearts of his siblings Tom (late Irene), Barbara Eady (Donald), Jim (late Doreen), Robert (Marion), Jean Ellie (Dennis). A family Memorial Celebration was held at the home of Bill and Whendy Best on Saturday January 18, 2014. If desired, donations to the Table Soup Kitchen, would be appreciated.
