Norman passed away peacefully at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville at approximately 4:20am on February 11, 2017. By his side the entire time was his loving wife Shirley. Son Sherman, daughter-in-law Pamela and grand daughter Kate were also present and though separated by many miles his grand daughter Hannah was in continuous contact right up until the end.
A loving husband to Shirley and a cherished father to Sherman (Pamela) and (predeceased) Monica Mae Neil. Grand father to Kate and Hannah Neil and to his extended grand children Matt (Kasy) and Katie Moore and their children. Brother to Dawson (predeceased). He will be sorely missed by his many family members and friends.
Shirley and the family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the wonderful and compassionate staff at the Algonquin Grace Hospice as well as the medical care of Dr. Dann Morton and Dr. Pamela McDermott. Also for the spiritual support of Reverend Derek Shelly. Your thoughtful and caring approach to Norman’s final days and the consideration of his needs allowed my mother to share his final days as a wife and soul mate. We will never be able to thank you enough for that.
A celebration of Norman’s life is being held on the 25th of February 2017. It will be held at Trinity United Church, 33 Main Street East, Huntsville, Ontario. Visitation will be in the church hall from 12:00 to 1:00pm followed by a service in the church at 1p.m.. A reception will follow the service in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorial donations in his name be made to the Algonquin Grace Hospice.
