It is with great sadness that we announce Dad’s sudden passing on Friday, January 29, 2016 in his 87th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Yvette (1999), daughter Marlene, and all siblings also including Gordon, Joe and Ruth.
He is loved and remembered by his 3 surviving children: Linda (Frank), Brian (Pam) and Susan (Blaine). He will be forever missed by his 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by Pat and his extended family.
Dad had a full career in mining, working in places like Kirkland Lake, Cobalt, Larder Lake, Sudbury, Chile and Little Cornwallis Island. Everyone will remember him for his great sense of humour. He always had a little rhyme or song to share. More often than not, when you met him, you left with a nickname, sometimes unbeknownst to you. We’d like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Muskoka Landing Nursing Home in Huntsville for taking such good care of Dad.
At Cyril’s request there will be no public service.

We were saddened to hear of your father’s passing. Terry and I remember the numerous times your Dad stopped by to visit Terry’s father. We remember too that they worked together for quite some time, I believe it was for Heath & Sherwood. I remember seeing him and your Mom when I was hanging out with Brian and Henry in Farmdale a very long time ago. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Terry and Cheryl
