When Rod Ferguson called me with the news of Dave’s passing I was jarred but then had a flood of childhood memories. Playing hockey and lacrosse with Dave. His outrageously humorous remarks uttered quietly in high school class. Dorothy, to you and your family, may time heal the pain of the sudden loss of this wonderful man quickly and leave the most wonderful memories. I have sent a picture of a lacrosse to Rod. It has Dave in the front row.

Please accept my condolences on your sad loss. My parents live across the street from you and I frequently saw Dave when I visited them. He never failed to wave or say “hello”” and even brought his snow blower over to help me clear the bottom of my parent’s drive one very stormy day. A truly good man and a real loss: my thoughts and prayers are with you! Sheena”

To the Russell Family. The first time I met Dave was when he worked for Ball Brothers and had come to Huntsville to build the Huntsville Hospital. I was a 19 years old, and Dave saw some thing in me to hirer me and take me under his wing to teacher me some of what he knew! I worked on other projects for Dave and he was always a good boss and very fair! I will miss meeting Dave in Huntsville when ever I made the trip there and was lucky enough to see him! The town of Huntsville will never forget this Man!
