Well I remember several assessment stags in DRD’s Mississauga home, and quaffing a brew or five at such times (Phew!) Don was one of the most even tempered people I ever knew, a true people person, and loved a good time. Rest in true peace, Don .

It is 6:00 p.m on the 14th; wish we had known about Don earlier and we would have been there for the Memorial. We both remember the great times we had with Don and Marg and the kids – we will never forget them. So glad that we met Brenda and realized he had met his sole mate and were having a great life travelling together. Our thoughts are with Brenda and especially the kids, who I know will miss Don so much. Our lives travelled in different directions, but we have always remembered Don so fondly.

I had the pleasure of working with Don for several years at the Halton Peel Assessment Office. When we moved to the west coast and Don to Huntsville we lost touch. We were a close knit group back in the assessment days and the good times and Don’s friendship will always be remembered. We were saddened by the news and send our sincere condolences to his family. By coincidence, with us when we got word was another member of the old assessment gang Jack duMaine. He also sends his condolences.

Diane and Scott and the entire family…I was so very sad to read this news just now and am sending my sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of you. I hadn’t seen your Dad in many years but of course remember him fondly seeing as you and I became the best of friends in Grade 3 and were pretty much inseparable. All the sleepover weekends and of course the snowmobiling!! Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do. With love and hugs, Michelle and Judson

It has been an honour to get to know Don and Brenda over the past 7 months. It became obvious to me that he was loved by many and will be missed dearly. A man with so many years of service for his community can only be resting in peace. I was fortunate to spend time with him as he reminisced about his journey in life and the joy that his family and friends have brought him. Thanks for sharing with me Don and rest in peace. Know that your family and friends will give Brenda the comfort she needs. Thank you for being who you were.
