I will miss Irma’s hugs at both Trinity United and Chartwell. She will be especially missed at Trinity where she is fondly remembered, not only for the kindly donated cushions for our pews, but for her smiling, friendly presence each week.

My sister, Anne and I used to visit Irma and Ed on their farm. My deceased parents, Marie and Seab were great friends of hers. With Anne and Richard living up here in Muskoka, and I having moved up here 9 years ago, we were able to keep in touch. What a great lady. Was surprised of her passing. She will be greatly missed by us all.

As a neighbour of Irma’s at Rogers Cove Condominiums we have a number of memories and shared good times. One of the earliest being Irma as the first to brave the waters in early spring with a swim off the docks. However the one memory that stands out the most is Irma’s 90th birthday party at the Holiday Inn. What a vibrant lady she was as she worked the room greeting family, friends and neighbours. We once asked Irma what her key to longevity was and she jokingly replied take time for “Happy Hour†a message not since forgotten. It was a sad day here at Rogers Cove when Irma left for her new home at Chartewell and now it is even a sadder day as we say goodbye. On behalf of Irene and I our condolences go out to the family at this very difficult time.
