Rhoda Jean Farnsworth passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2013 with her family by her side.
Jean was born on July 5, 1926 to Jim and Victoria Cottrill in North Bay, Ontario. On June 21, 1947 she married the late Gordon Farnsworth (2010) and for the next 60 years, lived on their farm on the Muskoka River in Huntsville, Ontario. As a young married woman, she came to know the Lord Jesus as her Saviour and her faith directed her life.
She enjoyed gardening and swimming as well as photography and travelling with her husband throughout North America and Europe.
She was a fun-loving and understanding mother to 4 daughters: Janie (Andy), Brenda (Malcolm), Margie (Barlow) and Sharon (John). She leaves 12 grandchildren: Stephen, Cheryl and Drew Fletcher, Brett and Todd Grainger, Jonathan and Sarah Patten and Rebecca, Christopher, Matthew, Jesse and Zacharias Young, as well as their partners and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by siblings Phyllis, Shirley, Bev and Sharon and survived by Ken, Joy and June.
Her last 3 years were spent in comfort at Elim Homes, Waubaushene, Ontario where staff treated her as family.
Her Greatest Gift to us; she taught us to laugh.
Visitation for Jean Farnsworth will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m.
Funeral Service at Mitchell Funeral Home, Addison Chapel will take place on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11 a.m.

Jean was a wonderful and spiritual lady. We were blessed to know her and call her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with her children and grandchildren.Jean is now resting in the arms of her Saviour!

What a great picture of Aunt Jean with the river in the background. I will always remember her at our family gatherings with her camera trying to get all her family together for the picture. We have lots of good memories!!
