I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Lore – she was one of my favourites residents to visit at Muskoka Shores – as part of pastoral visitations from St. Paul’s Church. She talked to me of difficult times as a child when she and her brother needed to hide from the Nazi’s. She was a kind and loving spirit and it was a privilege to get to know her – if for only a few years.

Lore was a kind and generous woman. She was a loving mother and good friend who loved life and her beautiful cottage in Huntsville. Our condolences to Joe.

I spent many lovely hours with Lore at the spot she called Tranquility Point. When life was tough Lore always welcomed me with her gentle nurturing spirit. I loved to swim together, have meals outside under the trees and especially eat her homemade cheesecake. She will be greatly missed.

Lore (Lolo) was truly a kind soul. She was like a grandmother to me and added warmth, compassion, and love to my childhood years. I have many great memories of summers up at the cottage in Huntsville. The world is a better place having had her in it. May she Rest In Peace.

I have so many wonderful memories of Lore. She had a special loving spirit. She would only want what was best for us. I send her peace and love and thanks. She helped me on a special journey of life. I will always hold the memory of us sitting up late at night laughing over a cup of coffee on the dock at the cottage.R.I.P.
