Margaret-What can I say ! I,ve known you for as long as I,ve known Valerie and you have always been a loving part of our family .I have seen you change as we all do as you,ve gone through life’s journey. My memories of you are many , your stories told over and over again , like when you ran into a tree on your bike after a little libation , your feistiness, your strong will, your love .You were always first to help me with whatever I was doing whether it was fixing the pump, raking leaves ,doing the dishes , gardening,or shovelling snow off Grampie’s roof and you would say ” It doesnt take long when we do it together

I have many fond memories of Margaret. The one that stands out is the wonderful walks we used to take after after our Thanksgiving dinner. I will miss you Margaret..

I miss you Margaret. I hope you are enjoying yourself, and are now with your parents -my great grand parents- and Fluffy, Kitty, Tinker, etc. I know I, for one, never really minded being called any of these three latter names by Margaret as I, and just about every one else in the family often was. I loved your little onion-filled burgers Margaret, your smile, your laughter, your attitude, your wisdom and kindness. I know that you and my mother have had many adventures, not all sought for (I’m thinking of a particular spring swim the two of you took a few years back)- but that there was an incredible amount of mutual respect, admiration, and love shared between the two of you.
Thanks Margaret for all the good times! The Crocinole (my fingers hurt just at the thought of Margaret unleashing one of her wicked crokinole shots), the toboggan rides with Tinker (I can still see Tinker’s head getting swallowed up by the front of the toboggan as you ineffectively called him back from trying to eat the front of the toboggan as it flew down the hill, with you you and your nephew and niece ), the walks through the forest and the summer birthday picnics out at Skeleton lake! I will look back on all these fondly and am most grateful to have been blessed to have you as a great aunt. I could not have asked for a better one. Love Love Love you Margaret

Margaret taught me to colour within the lines, how to catch speckled trout, how not to get lost in the bush, and how to enjoy Hank Williams. I wish that I had been around to help look after her when she needed someone, but I thank my sister Valerie who has spent a great part of her life making sure Margaret was comfortable and happy. Thanks Valerie, thanks Margaret, hope you are in a peaceful place. XOX

Margarets gentle smile and warm spirit will be missed. It was always a pleasure to spend time with her, andI enjoyed hearing about her memories. She always had a good word for everyone, except that bed…..
my thoughts are with you,

Margaret figures largely in my childhood memories, climbing the big hill, toboganning, her laughter, and long explorations in ‘the woods’. I am so glad you were a part of my life, Margaret, and you will always be in my heart.

Some of my fondest memories as a kid were the days hanging out with Margret. She was kind of our protective shadow in the forest standing just far enough back so we could feel free but close enough so we couldn’t hurt ourselves.
Im sure we all learned from her.

I love this photo – I can hear Margaret laughing!
I have fond memories of times shared with Margaret from my earliest childhood to the most recent Christmas – family dinners at Nannie & Grampies, skiing & tobogganing down the “big hill””
